When things get difficult, many of us tend to run – physically or figuratively. That’s dangerous in any situation, and especially in close personal relationships.
Our monthly newsletter came out this week, and one of our readers wrote this: “I’m a runner and I struggle with staying still and listening rather than taking things personally and running away. Nice to hear I’m not the only one!!”
No, you’re not the only one who likes to run! But there are some things you can do to change. That’s the topic of this month’s newsletter. Here’s this and other resources for this week:
1. Totally Free Ministries June Newsletter: “Don’t Run: Be Still!” And don’t forget you can read other archived copies here, or sign up to get your own copy by email.
2. Gospel Express Show. For any of you who are gospel music fans, you would surely enjoy my husband Al’s program, the Gospel Express Show. It’s broadcast 5-6pm M-F. You can listen to streaming live on the website, send in song requests, and a whole lot more.
3. June is National Safety Month. The National Safety Council has a number of fact sheets targeted to preventing accidents such as drowning, fires, boating and motor vehicle accidents, heat safety, and more.
Your turn: What do you tend to run from? What might you fix if you just sat still and listened? I’d love to hear from you.
